Sep 20, 2013 Speed Walker According to health experts and my research, to maintain good health we should be walking 10,000 steps every day. So, my wife and I have been counting our steps. To achieve this goal we try to go for 30 minute walks in our neighborhood to supplement our daily activity. We tend to reach our goal, but some days we fall short before bedtime. Since we are on a mission, we try to walk around the house to get those last 1,000 steps rather than go right to bed and call it day. I'm sure this sounds funny :), but for us the amusing part about all this is that our son wants to participate. We will be walking back and forth, and the little man starts walking with us thinking it's a game. Who knew we had a future speed walker? By the way...I think he walks over 20,000 steps a day.
